How does the heated clothes drying rack work?
When the drying rack is switched on, the built-in heating elements warm up each individual rail. These heated rails transfer warmth directly to the laundry and to the surrounding air. The warm air between the rails naturally rises upward, creating continuous airflow. Warm, moisture-laden air escapes from the drying area, while cooler air from the surrounding room is drawn in from below. This incoming air generally has a lower absolute humidity than the air immediately surrounding the damp laundry. Replacing humid air with fresh air is the main reason the drying process is significantly accelerated. As a result, the drying rack provides more efficient drying without the need for a fan – the airflow is generated naturally by the temperature difference.

This natural air circulation:

• removes moisture released from the laundry
• brings drier air into contact with the fabric surface
• increases the rate of water evaporation
• helps laundry dry faster than on a conventional non-heated drying rack.

What is the breathable cover for?
To further improve the drying performance, use the breathable cover supplied with the drying rack. The cover creates a more enclosed drying space around the rack, helping to retain the warm air generated by the heated rails. This allows the laundry to remain in a warmer and more stable environment, promoting faster evaporation of moisture from the fabrics. The cover features ventilation openings that allow continuous air exchange. Warm, moisture-laden air naturally rises and escapes through the vents, while fresh air is drawn in through the lower part of the cover. This creates continuous natural air circulation, removing moisture while retaining heat inside the drying space. The result is more efficient use of heat, faster drying times, and reduced heat loss to the surrounding environment.
